This Friday, former Disney child actress Bella Thorne unleashed a scandal on social media, after she published an Instagram story where she accused actor Mickey Rourke of abuse and violence against her, when they met during the filming of the movie ‘Girl’ in 2020
In his post, Thorne said that the experience of working alongside the 72-year-old actor was “one of the worst experiences of his life” and detailed that during the filming, Rourke hurt his intimate area and described him as a “disgusting guy”.

I had to work with this man. In a scene where I’m on my knees with my hands tied behind my back, he was supposed to hit me with a metal sander on the kneecap, but instead, he put it on my genitals, and hit over and over again
And she added: “I had bruises on my pelvic bone. Working with Mickey was one of the worst experiences of my life as an actress… There are so many nasty stories about the things he put me through on that movie”.
He even revealed that just before filming the final scene of the film, the actor refused to leave his dressing room and requested to speak to Bella privately, without the director or producer present:
“I didn’t want to do it. I felt uncomfortable, but I did what they asked me to do and said it was better for the movie,” the young actress said of how she had to “beg the actor” to return to filming.
At the moment, Mickey Rourke has not commented on these accusations, although they have already caused outrage throughout the film industry. This testimony came after an article in the press where Rourke is criticized for making homophobic comments.
