O clássico entre Palmeiras e Corinthians é sempre um jogo muito disputado e o confronto deste sábado, que acontece às 18h30 (de Brasília), na Arena Barueri, pela terceira rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro, não será diferente. Isso porque os cálculos da Bola de Cristal, ferramenta desenvolvida em parceria com o Departamento de Matemática da UFMG, preveem um equilíbrio na partida.
Segundo a ferramenta do GLOBO, o empate é o resultado mais provável para a partida de logo mais, com 35,64% de chances de acontecer. O time com maior probabilidade de sair do Dérbi Paulista com a vitória é o Corinthians, com 34,73%, apesar de estar jogando fora de casa. Já o Palmeiras tem somente 29,64% de chances de vencer o confronto.
Ambas as equipes possuem quatro pontos na tabela, porém o Corinthians está à frente devido ao saldo de gols — três, contra um do Palmeiras. Este será o quarto confronto direto entre os dois nesta temporada, já que eles se enfrentaram na final do Campeonato Paulista, onde o Timão saiu campeão após vencer por 1 a 0 no Allianz Parque e empatar sem gols na Neo Química Arena.
As duas equipes chegam desfalcadas para o confronto. Pelo lado do Palmeiras, Mayke, Lucas Evangelista e Raphael Veiga devem ser desfalques, enquanto o Corinthians não conta com Hugo Souza, Rodrigo Garro, Igor Coronado e Angileri. Existe a expectativa do time alviverde pela estreia do atacante Paulinho.
Nos últimos quatro jogos, o Corinthians apresentou desempenho irregular, somando uma vitória, dois empates e uma derrotas, com destaque para o triunfo contra o Vasco e o tropeço diante do Huracán.
