In der Sendung BILD Sport bei Welt TV spricht Boss Herbert Hainer (70) Sportvorstand Max Eberl (51), der zuletzt in die Kritik geraten war eine Job-Garantie über den Sommer aus.
Hainer deutlich: „Ich wüsste nicht, warum es nicht so sein sollte. Max ist vor einem Jahr gekommen, das war eine schwierige Situation. Wir hatten keinen Trainer. Max hat Vincent Kompany gefunden. Max hat zusammen mit Christoph Freund Michael Olise gebracht, einen der besten Spieler in den letzten Monaten.“
[–>Und weiter betont er: „Ich denke, Max macht gute Arbeit. Jetzt sollten wir ihn mal in Ruhe arbeiten lassen. Am Ende des Tages zählen die Erfolge und was dabei herauskommt. Das sieht alles ganz gut aus.“
Eberl kam im März 2024 als Nachfolger des ehemaligen Sportvorstands Hasan Salihamidžić (48/wurde im Mai 2023 entlassen) zum FC Bayern, hat dort noch einen Vertrag bis Sommer 2027.

Außerdem sprach er auch über das Dauerbrenner-Thema Thomas Müller (35)! Beim 2:2 gegen den BVB stand er 81 Minuten auf dem Feld und lieferte auch den wichtigen Assist zum zwischenzeitlichen 1:1. Im Sommer ist beim Rekordmeister als Spieler Schluss.
Hainer lässt Müller alle Türen für eine Zukunft beim FC Bayern offen. „Ich kann mir für Thomas Müller unheimlich viele Rollen beim FC Bayern vorstellen.“

Auch als Präsident und damit irgendwann als sein Nachfolger? „Thomas ist ein intelligenter Kerl, versteht Fußball. Zu 100 Prozent ist er ein urechtes Bayern-Gewächs. Er hat immer bei diesem Verein gespielt, liebt diesen Verein, ist sehr eloquent. Wann immer seine Karriere zu Ende ist, dann muss er erst mal nachdenken, was er machen will. Ich würde mir wünschen, dass der Thomas Müller, was auch immer er nach seiner Karriere macht, wieder beim FC Bayern landen wird“, so Hainer.
Zuerst einmal muss Müller den Bayern beim wichtigen Spiel in Mailand helfen. Die Münchner brauchen einen Sieg gegen Inter, um noch ins Halbfinale der Champions League einzuziehen und vom „Finale dahoam“ träumen zu dürfen.
