43 Jahre und kein bisschen müde.
Hans Lindberg machte letzten Sommer bei den Füchsen Berlin Schluss in der Handball-Bundesliga. Aber noch lange nicht mit dem Handball. Lindberg ging zurück in seine Heimat Dänemark, wurde bei Zweitligist HØJ Elite Spieler und Sportdirektor – und ist nun wieder erstklassig.
Handball: Bundesliga-Legende Hans Lindberg zurück in der 1. Liga
Lindberg, mit 3011 Treffern Rekordtorschütze der Bundesliga, schaffte mit seinem Klub nach dem 33:21-Auswärtssieg in Odder erstmals den Aufstieg in die dänische Handboldligaen. Von den Fans wurde die Mannschaft nach der Rückkehr mit einer Bengalo-Party und lautstarken Sprechchören gefeiert.
Die Füchse ließen Hans Lindberg zum Abschied im Sommer 2024 noch einmal hochleben

„Es ist ein fantastisches Gefühl, dass wir es geschafft haben”, sagte Lindberg bei TV 2 Sport. „Wir sind stolz, wir sind glücklich – und das muss natürlich gefeiert werden.” Vor allem deshalb: „Es ist mein Heimatverein, ich bin nur 1200 Meter von der Halle entfernt aufgewachsen. Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass HØJ einmal in der Liga spielen würde – aber jetzt ist es Realität, und ich bin wirklich stolz, ein Teil davon zu sein.
[–>HØJ wurde 1994 gegründet und ist ein Zusammenschluss der Vereine Jyllinge-Gundsømagle IF und Ølstykke HF. Zur neuen Saison wird der Klub unter anderem mit Nationaltorwart Till Klimpke (Wetzlar) verstärkt.
Und Lindberg, der für Hamburg und Berlin 500 Bundesligaspiele machte, wird ganz sicher noch nicht aufhören.
