Recently, Salma Hayek admitted that she did not think she would marry François-Henry Pinault, whom she married in 2009. It was all a deception by both families, who took the actress to a courthouse one morning without knowing what it really was.
Although everything went well, as they are still married and have a daughter, it is still a curious story, as Hayerk herself tells it: “My father, my brother, Francois’ mother conspired to set a ‘trap’ for me,” she said. “They were all in cahoots to make the ceremony happen.”

However, she says that she wanted and still wants Pinault, but what she did not want was marriage: “I was not in favor of a wedding. I had a phobia of marriage, I did not want to get married. But I had no choice but to do it at the insistence of our families. Today I do not regret it, although my love for my husband did not need to sign documents to legalize our coexistence.”
“I don’t feel the need to get married. You want to grow old with someone, have a partner and have children. I already have all those things. Some people need a piece of paper, but we need more than a party. We are happy living like this. He lives in Paris and Valentina and I spend most of our time in Los Angeles. For many this is crazy, but we understand that it is a unique relationship,” she said in an interview in 2008.
