Na semana passada, o Flamengo foi surpreendido em partida da Libertadores ao ser derrotado pelo Central Córdoba, da Argentina, em pleno Maracanã, e deixou claro, na visão de Tostão, que o elenco do time carioca não pé assim tão bom quanto se fala.
Em texto publicado no jornal Folha de S.Paulo, o comentarista esportivo destaca que as opções do elenco do técnico Filipe Luís tanto no meio de campo quanto no ataque não são tão homogêneas quanto as que ele conta para o setor defensivo.
“O Flamengo, depois de 27 jogos invicto, jogou mal e perdeu por 2 a 1 para o Central Córdoba, da Argentina. Foi uma surpresa, porém outras derrotas vão ocorrer. O Flamengo, completo, possui um ótimo time, mas não é tão superior aos outros. O elenco é bom, mas nem tanto. Faltam, do meio para a frente, reservas de nível próximo ao dos titulares”, apontou Tostão.
Depois da derrota na Libertadores, partida em que colocou em campo a maioria de jogadores considerados reservas, o Rubro-Negro voltou a campo neste fim de semana, desta vez com os titulares e derrotou o Grêmio, em Porto Alegre, por 2 a 0, em partida do Campeonato Brasileiro.
Tostão vê pressão exagerada sobre o Palmeiras
Outra equipe analisa pelo campeão do mundo em 1970 foi o Palmeiras. Segundo Tostão, o time comandado por Abel Ferreira sofre de uma pressão acima do tom por parte de torcedores e imprensa nesta temporada.
“O Palmeiras está muito tenso, sempre à espera de grandes partidas. A cobrança da torcida é exagerada. Ganhar do Cerro Porteño por 1 a 0 não foi surpresa. O time não encanta, mas geralmente ganha por causa do equilíbrio, da consistência e da qualidade técnica. A equipe joga cada partida como se fosse a última”, avaliou Tostão.
Na vitória contra o Cerro Porteño, citado pelo comentarista, o Verdão demonstrou mais uma vez jogadores tensos em campo.
No entanto, ao que parece o clima já está melhor depois do Palmeiras vencer, neste fim de semana, o arquirrival Corinthians, por 2 a 0, com uma atuação bastante convincente no Brasileirão.
