Con Oscar Piastri ganando la carrera, el primer gran premio repetido de la temporada, y Lando Norris P3 en la línea, el actual campeón del mundo ahora está por detrás de ambos pilotos de McLaren. Está ocho puntos por debajo de Norris y cinco por detrás de Piastri.
“Está claro. Debemos hacer progresos que no se expresen en puntos, sino en el cronómetro”, declaró a Sky Deutschland. “Con un rendimiento así, no tendrá nada que ver con el Campeonato del Mundo”, declaró el asesor austriaco sobre las posibilidades de Verstappen a revalidar su título.

Tenemos que crear una base con un coche para que pueda luchar por el Campeonato del Mundo”, sentenció Marko.

“A corto plazo, no hay nada que podamos hacer técnicamente. Al menos cuando estemos en Europa, esperamos ver progreso. Pero con una actuación como ésta, no podremos defender nuestro título mundial. Y eso no es bueno porque corremos el riesgo de perder a Max Verstappen”, ha dicho el Dr. Marko.

“Necesitamos cuestionar nuestro enfoque. Por ejemplo, debemos tener un mejor programa de entrenamientos y usar más el motor para comprender nuestra situación.
