O último programa “Galvão e Amigos”, apresentado por Galvão Bueno, recebeu o ex-goleiro Emerson Leão, campeão da Copa do Mundo de 1970 pela seleção brasileira, além de ter participado também das Copas de 74, 78 e 86.
Então, o narrador elogiou o ex-goleiro na sua apresentação, relembrando os seus feitos com a Amarelinha.
“Eu tenho uma admiração muito grande por ele, jogou quatro Copas do Mundo, coisa que poucos conseguiram. Na Copa de 78 ele bateu o recorde de um goleiro ficar mais tempo sem levar gols. 457 minutos sem tomar nenhum gol”, disse.
Galvão Bueno coloca entre os maiores
Depois, o apresentador da Band disse que Leão, ao lado de Taffarel, estão entre os goleiros mais marcantes que vestiram a camisa da seleção brasileira.
“Com todo respeito ao Gylmar, que foi bicampeão em 58 e 62, mas pouca gente viu o Gylmar jogar. Tivemos o Marcos que foi campeão, o Félix que foi campeão, mas eu estaria muito errado em dizer que o Leão e o Taffarel foram os goleiros que mais se destacaram na seleção brasileira?”, disse Galvão Bueno.

Na sequência, o comentarista do programa, Walter Casagrande, disse que Emerson Leão é o principal goleiro que já jogou pela seleção brasileira.
“Toda vez que me pedem para fazer uma seleção de todos os tempos, eu faço de 70 para frente, que foram os que eu vi. E, para mim, o Leão foi o maior goleiro do futebol brasileiro”. opinou Casagrande.
