Jaký to byl zápas?
Docela náročný. Kanaďanky jsou silné a urputné, ale vlétly jsme na ně dobře. Hrály jsme 45 minut hokej, který jsme chtěly hrát. Dvanáct minut nám to trošku odešlo. Ale nemáme se za co stydět, ukázaly jsme, že když hrajeme českým srdcem a jedna pro druhou, tak to jde. Musíme se na to soustředit, jakmile půjdeme do čtvrtfinále a na další zápasy.
Zaskočily jste Kanadu forčekinkem a agresivitou?
Ano, nečekaly to. Hlavně fyzickou hrou, protože ony moc nechtějí, abychom jim hrály do těla. To byl náš cíl do zápasu. Zvládly jsme to skvěle, moc se jim to nelíbilo, ukazovaly frustraci. Za to jsme byly rády, pomohlo nám to.
Rozhodčí vám dovolily hrát tvrdě, měly volnější metr. Pomohlo to atraktivitě hry?
Bylo to fajn. V PWHL se hraje dost do těla, i mezinárodní hra by se tak měla řídit. Jedině dobře, ještě víc to přitáhne publicitu k ženskému hokeji. Nás to baví, nechceme chodit na trestnou, chceme hrát fyzicky, užít si to. To, že jsme ženy, neznamená, že nemůžeme hrát do těla, že to neumíme nebo že nás to bolí o něco víc než chlapy.

V utkání jste dala dvě tyčky. Co scházelo, aby puky skončily v bráně?
Trocha štěstí, ale s tím nic neuděláte. Jeden den to tam padne, druhý den ne. Holky mi to hezky dávaly, já se snažila to prostřelit, ale jsou to neovlivnitelné věci. Zrovna góly na takových turnajích je hrozně těžké dát. Když to tam padne, jsem jedině ráda, když to tam nepadne, nemůžu se nad tím moc pozastavovat. Musíme jít dál.
Co se stalo, že Kanada najednou nastřílela tři góly za 58 sekund?
Odstoupily jsme trochu od naší hry. Asi zbytečně. Můžeme se z toho jedině poučit. Podíváme se na zápas, vezmeme z toho pozitiva i negativa. Ukázaly jsme si, jak dokážeme hrát. Když hrajeme srdcem, tak to jde. Jakmile nastolíme naši hru, pak tým funguje. Ale jakmile se to sesype, nesmíme se tomu poddat, musíme se znovu povzbudit a pokračovat dál ve výkonu.
Ve čtvrtfinále vás čeká Švýcarsko, které jste v prvním duelu porazily 3:0. Co od zápasu očekáváte?
Asi větší agresivitu než v prvním utkání. Oba týmy se trochu rozkoukávaly. Ale jak my známe je, tak ony znají nás. Nesmíme je podcenit a hlavně na ně musíme vlítnout a hrát tak jako dneska prvních 45 minut.
Ve čtvrtfinále se vždy láme mistrovství. Jak se těšíte na klíčové utkání?
Těším se jako na každý zápas. Fanoušci jsou skvělí, je tu skvělé zázemí. Na to se ani nejde netěšit. Když máte ještě víc o co hrát, o to je to lepší. Ale beru to tak od prvního zápasu, dávám do toho všechno. Pro mě se nic měnit nebude. Samozřejmě trošku vnímáte, že je tam větší tlak, ale kdybyste tím nechali ovládnout vaši mysl, je to jedině špatně. Musíme to trošku potlačit a hrát naši hru i tak.
