Nos últimos tempos o debate em relação ao trabalho de treinadores estrangeiros no Brasil vem sendo um dos principais assuntos no futebol nacional. Essa situação ganhou um ‘capitulo a mais’ com a possibilidade da seleção brasileira não ter um comandante português após a saída de Dorival Júnior.
Em conversa exclusiva com o Torcedores.com, o técnico Alexandre Gama, que está no Top-3 de profissionais com maior média de pontos corridos durante sua passagem no Fluminense, falou sobre diversos assuntos, como seu nome preferido para assumir a equipe do Brasil, um possível retorno ao país e como os treinadores brasileiros são vistos no mercado internacional.
Torcedores.com – Para você, a CBF age certo em pensar em um técnico estrangeiro ou o ideal seria apostar em um brasileiro? Qual ou quais seriam seus nomes preferidos para assumir o cargo?
Alexandre Gama – Sou contra estrangeiro na seleção. Meu nome preferido é o Renato Gaúcho.
T – Com uma carreira de destaque no futebol internacional, qual a sua visão dos treinadores brasileiros fora do país? São prestigiados, ainda são vistos como referências?
AG – Acho que continuamos sendo prestigiados fora do país, temos na Ásia muitos treinadores que são referência aqui. Temos muitos treinadores com grande prestígio fora do país. Sempre valorizo aqui o diferencial do treinador brasileiro.
T – Nos últimos anos estamos vendo diversos clubes apostando em técnicos estrangeiros. Como você vê esse cenário?
AG – Acho normal, seria até incoerente da minha parte ir contra isso até porque sou um estrangeiro trabalhando aqui. Mas vejo algumas contratações no Brasil, principalmente de estrangeiros. sem muito planejamento ou ideia do que o clube realmente quer. Só contratar para agradar imprensa e as mídias sociais, podendo contratar um brasileiro até melhor qualificado.
T – Você recebeu propostas recentes de clubes do Brasil?
AG – Recebi, mas tinha contrato e não fui liberado.

T – Você pensa / sonha em voltar ao futebol brasileiro? Quais seus planos?
AG – Hoje penso muito, estou muito tempo fora do Brasil tendo trabalhado em vários países sempre com títulos e resultados expressivos, acho que teria grande chance de ir muito bem por ai por toda experiência e conquistas. Faltam cinco jogos para acabar a temporada e vamos ver o que vai acontecer, depois de muito tempo vou ficar livre e espero que apareçam como sempre boas oportunidades, mas estou com grande vontade de trabalhar outra vez no Brasil.
