Se a posição de centroavante vive uma escassez no futebol brasileiro, Fluminense e Corinthians deram um jeito de encontrar nomes que são unanimidade para o setor. Germán Cano e Yuri Alberto provaram em seus clubes que sabem como encontrar o caminho das redes. Não à toa, dominaram os postos de artilheiro do futebol brasileiro nas últimas três temporadas — o argentino do Flu em 2022 e 2023, e o camisa 9 do time paulista em 2024. Eles travam uma batalha de goleadores nesta quarta-feira, às 19h30, na Neo Química Arena, em partida válida pela 4ª rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro.
Apesar de ambos terem chegado às suas respectivas equipes em 2022 — Cano no início e Yuri no meio —, os caminhos que percorreram até se tornarem os “homens-gol” de seus clubes foram distintos. O argentino teve um impacto quase imediato no tricolor. Herdou o espaço aberto pela aposentadoria do ídolo Fred e, no ano seguinte, tornou-se o grande nome da inédita conquista da Libertadores. Com 84 gols somados em 2022 e 2023, foi quem mais balançou as redes no país nas duas temporadas.
Já Yuri Alberto passou por muitos altos e baixos no time paulista até, enfim, cair nas graças da torcida. Teve um início promissor, com 11 gols marcados no segundo semestre de 2022, mas enfrentou um ano seguinte difícil, chegando a virar motivo de piada nas redes sociais em razão de alguns lances e gols perdidos. A afirmação veio ao longo de 2024, temporada em que balançou as redes 31 vezes e fechou como artilheiro do país.
Cano, por sua vez, foi viver uma fase difícil apenas em seu terceiro ano de Fluminense. Durante toda a temporada de 2024, sofreu com problemas físicos e, assim como o restante da equipe, esteve longe de repetir o nível de desempenho dos anos anteriores. No período, fez apenas sete gols.
Este ano, ambos começaram bem a temporada. Recuperado, Cano já fez quase o dobro de gols de 2024 — marcou 13 vezes em apenas 19 jogos. Yuri Alberto tem oito gols nas 23 vezes que entrou em campo.
E todo jogador do “último toque” sonha em ter alguém que o municie. Os artilheiros de Flu e Corinthians não têm do que reclamar. O camisa 14 do tricolor possui uma parceria de sucesso com Jhon Arias, enquanto Yuri Alberto protagoniza uma entrosada dupla com o astro holandês Memphis Depay.
Para o jogo de hoje, Renato Gaúcho conta com a inspiração do seu artilheiro para manter os 100% de aproveitamento no comando do Fluminense. O treinador, que chegou há duas semanas ao clube, venceu os três jogos em que esteve à beira do campo. Ele, porém, terá desfalques de peso. O zagueiro Thiago Silva sofreu uma lesão muscular na coxa direita, e Ignácio deverá ser o substituto. Já Ganso, que começou no banco contra o Santos, sequer viajou.
No Corinthians, o técnico Ramon Díaz conta com os retornos do zagueiro Gustavo Henrique e do lateral-esquerdo Fabrizio Angileri, recuperados de lesão. Romero deve ser titular no lugar do volante José Martínez.
