O Vasco poderia até ter dormido líder do Brasileirão ontem, após o duelo diante do Ceará no Castelão. Mas a noite foi de cabeça quente para jogadores e torcedores. Com dois gols de Pedro Raul, ex-atacante cruz-maltino, o Vozão venceu por 2 a 1 e frustrou os esforços de um Vasco que começou muito mal, mas melhorou na segunda etapa. Vegetti diminuiu para os comandados de Fábio Carille.
Já sem Mauricio Lemos por fratura na costela, o cruz-maltino poupou Philippe Coutinho e não pôde contar com o titular Tchê Tchê e o reserva Puma Rodríguez, liberados, respectivamente, para tratar de questões pessoais e para acompanhar o nascimento do filho. Entraram Payet e Paulinho no onze inicial. O que se viu, de início, foi um Vasco desorganizado e desatento no Castelão — algo que o Ceará aproveitou bem.
— Perder faz parte, mas da forma que perdeu, isso me incomoda demais. Então repetindo, o pouquinho que a gente melhorou, um pouquinho. Não melhoramos muito também, não, já fez um segundo tempo melhor, mas o primeiro tempo me incomodou demais a postura. E repetindo, nosso respeito por essa agremiação, por essa equipe, ela tem que ser muito maior. A gente tem que fazer mais dentro de campo — avaliou Carille após a partida.
A “lei do ex” deu as caras em erro técnico. João Victor afastou mal de cabeça, em direção ao campo defensivo cruz-maltino, e viu Mugni tomar a bola e acionar Pedro Raul para balançar as redes. O gol transformou o cenário da partida, até então com poucas chances para ambos os lados, e aumentou a conta de falhas defensivas que têm comprometido a competitividade do cruz-maltino nesta temporada.
Com dificuldades também com o gramado, o Vasco não conseguiu dar sinais de reação até o intervalo.
Melhora no segundo tempo
No segundo tempo, as alterações de Carille (entraram Rayan, Adson e Jair) fizeram efeito. O Vasco passou a ganhar mais território no campo do Ceará, que se segurou com a vantagem. No lance de mais perigo, Rayan ganhou na corrida de Fabiano Souza e cruzou para Payet. O francês tentou carregar a bola e acabou perdendo-a em uma dividida com Dieguinho.
Payet, substituto natural de Coutinho, virou preocupação pouco depois. Com dores no joelho direito desde o lance com Rayan, não aguentou e desabou após cobrar escanteio. Deu lugar a Alex Teixeira e agora vira dúvida na reta final de seu contrato com o clube, que se encerra no mês que vem.
A mexida não diminuiu o ímpeto cruz-maltino, ainda que mais na vontade do que na organização. Rayan testou o goleiro Fernando Miguel, também ex-Vasco, que substituiu o lesionado Bruno Ferreira, em dois bons chutes de longe. Depois, Piton teve ótima chance em cruzamento de Paulo Henrique, mas mandou por cima do gol.
Mas foi o Ceará, mais efetivo, que encontrou o gol — novamente com Pedro Raul, que aproveitou escorada de Guilherme em cruzamento de Galeano para fazer 2 a 0.
Na base do abafa, o Vasco tentou salvar a partida já nos acréscimos. Até conseguiu diminuir com Vegetti, que agora divide a artilharia do Brasileiro com Pedro Raul — quatro gols cada um. Mas não teve sucesso na busca pelo empate.
