Domácí Aston Villa se dostala na dostřel jediné branky v 57. minutě, případná další trefa by už poslala dvojzápas do prodloužení. Pařížský celek už odolal. I díky výtečnému brankáři Gianluigimu Donnarummovi, který chytal bravurně. Ostatně hrdinou byl už předtím v osmifinálové odvetě proti Liverpoolu.
„Víme, jakého brankáře máme. Je jedním z nejlepších na světě. Mnoho lidí o něm pochybuje, ale my ne. Hodně nám pomohl. Jsme rádi, že je v PSG, a chceme, aby tu zůstal co nejdéle,“ velebil Hakimí italského obra v rukavicích.
„Abychom se stali šampiony, potřebujeme skvělého brankáře. Ten náš vždy ukazuje, jakou má pro nás cenu,“ přidal kapitán francouzského celku Marquinhos.
Na přínos Donnarummy byl dotazován i trenér PSG Luis Enrique. „Myslím, že mám nejlepší kádr na světě, nejen gólmana. Když jste v PSG, musíte mít hodně kvalitních hráčů,“ podotkl Enrique.
Bral s nadhledem, že se jeho soubor dostal ve druhé půli do úzkých. „Nesmíme zapomenout, že je to pořád Liga mistrů. Musíte respektovat, že soupeř má hodně velkou kvalitu. Aston Villa hrála ve druhém poločase ve velké intenzitě, už neměla co ztratit,“ zmínil španělský stratég.

Paris Saint-Germain je počtvrté za posledních šest ročníku Ligy mistrů v jejím semifinále. Na vytoužený triumf však ambiciózní klub čeká. Ukončí v této sezoně čekání? Splní si sen? „Odvádíme dobrou práci. Od doby, co nás převzal současný trenér, jsme spoustu věcí změnili. Výsledky jsou vidět. Jsme rádi, že jsme zase v semifinále,“ podotkl Hakimí.
Před rokem vypadl pařížský celek v semifinále s Borussií Dortmund. „Tým je ještě lepší než loni. O všechny trofeje budeme bojovat až do konce,“ radoval se Enrique. V semifinále soutěže se PSG utká s úspěšnějším z duelu mezi Arsenalem a Realem Madrid, anglické mužstvo vyhrálo první zápas 3:0.
