It’s the first time in three years that the Chiefs lost the game everyone wants to win in the NFL, but now they’ll enter the new campaign in “revenge mode,” which could intimidate more than a few teams in the league.
And to make it even more encouraging, Kansas City isn’t a team like the San Francisco 49ers, who crumbled after losing Super Bowl LVIII, so there’s not much to worry about.
The key here is to see how the players are processing the painful defeat against the Eagles, and it remains to be seen how this result has reignited the fire in players like Travis Kelce or Patrick Mahomes.
Kelce, who is constantly in the spotlight due to his relationship with Taylor Swift, will return for a new season alongside a Patrick Mahomes who, according to videos shared on social media, is getting into the best physical shape of his career.
A draft that could make all the difference
Several players will return to the team to continue shining on both offense and defense, and a strong draft could be the key to returning to a Super Bowl, as that’s the standard for this franchise.
Their 15-win regular season record tells us something clear: the Chiefs are far from hitting rock bottom. If their key players stay healthy, they remain the team to beat (alongside the Philadelphia Eagles).
Close attention must be paid to the selections Kansas City makes in the NFL Draft, as they could be the roadmap to success in the coming years, especially when players like Travis Kelce decide to retire.
