The 41-year-old quarterback revealed that his commitment to football is no longer the same, citing significant life changes, including a “serious” relationship.
Rodgers, a four-time MVP and Super Bowl champion, has been a free agent since February after the New York Jets cut ties with him following a disappointing 2024 season. While teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers, Minnesota Vikings, and New York Giants were linked to him, the veteran quarterback remained tight-lipped about his next move. He admitted that he was at a crossroads, balancing his personal commitments with the demanding nature of football.

In his appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers openly discussed how his personal life is impacting his professional decisions. “I’m in a different phase of my life. I’m 41, in a serious relationship, and I have personal commitments,” Rodgers confessed. He explained that these factors were making it harder to commit to another NFL team, especially after the Jets‘ challenging season.
Though retirement was floated as an option, Rodgers made it clear that he was open to continuing his career. “I told every team I’m not focused on money. I’ll play for $10 million,” he said, indicating his willingness to play but adding that retirement could still be on the table. His candor reflected a major shift in how he views his role in the league.

Rodgers also shared that he is in a new relationship with someone named Brittani, although he kept details about her private.
