With a cryptic post in which Madonna sent a subtle message, the Queen of Pop seemed to revive the rivalry withLady Gaga, after her stellar performance at the Coachella Music Festival.
Social media was abuzz with Madonna‘s latest Instagram post in which she talks about being copied, and fans were quick to relate the message to Lady Gaga, who since the 2012 release of Born This Way, has been criticised for its similarity to Madonna‘s 1989 single Express Yourself

Although Madonna has made comments in defense of singers who have been singled out for imitating her, on Wednesday she posted a message on her Instagram account in which she revived the controversy, although it may have been just to show that Lady Gaga’s recent concert did not go unnoticed
“Did you see that so-and-so copied you? God forbid a woman be inspired,” Madonna wrote in a photo of herself in an Instagram post with the caption and a kissing emoji: “I see you, I love you. You’re doing great, sweetie.”
Madonna already had history with Lady Gaga
Madonna had already mocked Lady Gaga during a concert in 2024, in which to correct a city error in which she confused her audience in Toronto with that of Boston.
“Are you ready Boston?” the singer asked and the murmur suddenly grew until in a matter of seconds she corrected herself: “Oh shit, are you ready Toronto?”
At that moment, the ‘Material Girl’ came up with a joke to disguise her confusion and used Lady Gaga with a comment that generated controversy.
“That would be like you guys saying, ‘Hey, Lady Gaga is going to play tonight.’ I mean, I have nothing against Lady Gaga. I love her! I love anyone shorter than me!” Madonna said.
