The AFC is considered by many to be the most competitive conference in the NFL today, with teams like the Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore Ravens, and Buffalo Bills. Competing in that conference is a nightmare due to the sheer talent level, which is why Josh Allen and the Bills need to be fully ready for the battle.
Josh Allen is the current NFL MVP, but he’s lacking weapons around him – especially a true No. 1 wide receiver. The team is just a couple of pieces away from becoming a top contender to reach the big game in the AFC.

The Bills’ main receivers don’t have big-name recognition. Right now, Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman might be Allen’s primary weapons, along with Joshua Palmer, who was acquired in the offseason.

According to reports, Texas Longhorns wide receiver Matthew Golden – who is also on the Dallas Cowboys’ radar – has been slipping in value in recent days. That’s why the Bills might make a bold move, as proposed by Bryce Lazenby from Newsweek.
“The Bills see Matthew Golden slipping and decide to jump ahead of the Houston Texans and others who could be interested. Golden is a speedy receiver with sure hands who gives the Bills a potentially elite pass-catcher to bolster Josh Allen’s supporting cast.”
Golden had a great season with the Longhorns, catching 58 passes for 987 yards and nine touchdowns, leading the SEC. On top of that, he wowed scouts at the NFL Combine with a 4.29-second 40-yard dash.
With those numbers and that speed, there’s no doubt Allen would become an even more dangerous player than he already is. A year ago, he lost Stefon Diggs, and last season, the team brought in Amari Cooper midseason, but it wasn’t enough. Now is the time for the front office to take a risk and give Allen weapons – they can’t afford to waste the talent of their MVP quarterback.
