„Dnes jsme začali opatrněji. Neměli jsme tolik ztrát, byli jsme silní na puku, kompaktní a díky tomu se Jihlava nedostávala moc ke střelbě,“ mínil olomoucký kouč Jan Tomajko. Klíčový byl podle něj první gól. „Moc nám pomohl. Pak nám to tam napadalo,“ věděl.
Podle trenéra Dukly Viktora Ujčíka byl druhý duel úplně o něčem jiném. „Počítali jsme s tím, že středeční těsná výhra domácí uklidní. To se i potvrdilo. Bylo vidět, co dělá psychika. Po vedoucím gólu jich byl plný led. Narostla jim křídla a dominovali,“ přiznal Ujčík.
Po druhé třetině, kdy to bylo 4:0 pro Hanáky, na hráče apeloval, aby zápas důstojně dohráli. „Nechtěli jsme, aby se skóre dostalo na čísla, která bychom si nezasloužili. Nakonec jsme inkasovali šestkrát, ale ukázali jsme, že se budeme až do konce série rvát. Příkladem byla bitka Strejčka ze Švrčkem,“ konstatoval jihlavský lodivod.

O tom, zda na jeho svěřence dolehla únava z náročného programu, spekulovat nechtěl. „I fyzička je částečně o hlavách. Síly nějaké máme, ale samozřejmě nám do zátěžové vesty s každým gólem přibyla dvě tři kila,“ podotkl.
Hráčům po utkání v kabině zdůraznil, že výsledek 6:0 neznamená průšvih. „Je to stejné, jako když padnete o gól. Domácím fanouškům jsme udělali radost, kterou dlouho neměli. Teď se musíme postarat, aby to nepokračovalo. Budeme bojovat a uvidíme, na co to bude stačit. Hrajeme nyní dvakrát doma a ve finále první ligy ze Zlínem jsme to na našem stadionu pokaždé zvládli,“ dodal Ujčík s nadsázkou, protože se všechna utkání uskuteční na olomouckém stadionu.
Tomajko vedení 2:0 na zápasy v sérii hrané na čtyři výhry kvituje, zároveň ale varuje, že rozhodnuto není. „V neděli to bude těžké a určitě to nedopadne zase 6:0. Ve středu měla Jihlava spoustu šancí a my se až do konce klepali. Musíme proto dál pokračovat s pokorou. Všechno si ještě vyříkáme a věřím, že kluci to pochopí,“ pověděl Tomajko.
