Although everyone says that the WWE product is much better than it used to be, the fans always find fault with the creativity and don’t hold back.
On social media, podcasts and everywhere else, they have more freedom than ever to express their love or hate for the company, something that seems to have exhausted Triple H’s patience, prompting him to send them a strong message.
Logan Paul shocks WWE fans with unexpected John Cena entrance stunt
In a chat with Peter Rosenberg on the WWE YouTube channel, HHH said that he prefers that fans enjoy the show without analyzing it so much. He claims that watching the show with a critical eye takes away from the magic.
“This is going to sound defensive, every critic out there. I wish I could tell people, “F*** being a critic. Be a fan. Go see this and be a fan”.
“If I tell you to go see this movie, I saw it, it was really good, just go see the movie as a fan. You watch the movie, you have an opinion. If I tell you, “Hey, go see this movie, but can you give me a one-sided detail of what you liked, what you didn’t like, and if it worked for you or didn’t work for you,” you look at it very differently. You look at the product completely differently. It ruins it for people”.
Everything was better before
That wasn’t all he addressed. Triple H criticized internet rumors that ruin WWE surprises, saying that wrestling was better before without leaks. In an interview, he pointed out that these speculations disappoint fans and reduce their enjoyment, denying plans such as a match for The Rock due to his Hollywood schedule.
“The world was so much better when nobody knew and you just watched it. You go out there and they try to ruin the surprise for you. They try to tell you all the shit that’s going on. The business that feeds you, now you’re ruining it for people and greatly reducing their enjoyment,”Triple H commented.
He also took the opportunity to send a message to those former wrestlers who complain about the current state of wrestling:
“It always makes me laugh when legends do podcasts telling you everything that went on behind the scenes in their day, and then they complain that there’s no kayfabe today,” he said. ‘So let me get this straight: you’re on a podcast revealing all the inside details, and then you get mad because there’s no kayfabe anymore. Great,’ concluded the “King of Kings.”
