Nika Muhl has received the terrible news that she will play no part in the 2025 WNBA season for the Seattle Storm due to a long-term injury.
Muhl played for the Connecticut Huskies in the NCAA with Paige Bueckers in 2024 and despite only getting one basket in that season, she has a very loyal fan base.

She made a move to Turkish club Besiktas after the season ended but that was where she suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury on October 3.
That put an end to her time playing in Turkey and it meant that when she was ready to join up with the Seattle Storm for the 2025 WNBA season, her chances of involvement were jeopardized.
No place for Muhl
Now, ESPN has reported that she has been placed on the suspended list, along with Jordan Horston, and will have no role to play in 2025. This means fans won’t see her on the court with Paige Bueckers who is about to begin her first WNBA season.
“The Seattle Storm have placed forward Jordan Horston and guard Nika Muhlon on the suspended list, ruling them out for the 2025 season, the team announced Friday,” the article wrote.
Given she was on the fringes of the 2024 Storm roster, there is a chance that even upon recovery, there is no place for her at the franchise and she will need to rebuild her career elsewhere.
It is not a major shock that she has not recovered given it can take around a year for an athlete to properly return from an ACL injury.
Bueckers was drafted by the Dallas Wings for the 2025 season and fans will be watching her progress extremely closely.
