Die Kölner Haie habe die Final-Serie gegen die Eisbären Berlin zum 1:1 ausgeglichen. In der Kölner Arena haben die Haie vor 18.600 Fans einen Overtime-Sieg (2:1) eingefahren.
In der Best-of-Seven-Serie heißt es jetzt 1:1. Vier Siege sind für den Titel erforderlich.

Im 2. Drittel sind dann die Eisbären Berlin besser im Spiel und nutzen ihrerseits ein Powerplay zum Ausgleich (23.). Leo Pföderl trifft nach einem Sahnepass von Ty Ronning, der im 25. Spiel in Serie an einem Tor beteiligt ist.
Im Schlussabschnitt Köln mit mehr Spielanteilen und Chancen. Aber Hildebrand im Eisbären-Tor überragend. Als die Haie dann mit zwei Spielern mehr auf dem Eis waren (55.), dachten alle an die Entscheidung, aber Berlin verteidigte aufopferungsvoll. So ging das Spiel in die Verlängerung.
