Eleito o melhor em campo, o arqueiro vascaíno foi responsável por intervenções importantes no clássico. Em uma delas, o camisa 1 demonstrou muito reflexo em uma cabeceada de Pedro.
“O Flamengo teve muitas oportunidades de fazer gol nos dez minutos finais, mas ele parou em um dos melhores goleiros do Brasil: Léo Jardim. Está entre os três melhores, foi o melhor em campo. Não digo que salvou o Vasco porque o Vasco também criou muitas oportunidades”, disse Felipe Melo.
