„Teď se soustředím na zápasy se Slováckem, ale bylo by krásné se tam podívat. Když nominace vyjde a budu v ní, budu jen a jen rád,“ řekl Borek.
V boji o pozvánku do kádru Lvíčat má hodně silnou konkurenci, třeba v podobě Antonína Kinského z Tottenhamu nebo Lukáše Horníčka, který se rozchytal v portugalské Braze. Ale pokud bude chytat jako v Edenu, nemusel by na šampionátu chybět.
S oběma brankami, které od sešívané skvadry dostal, nemohl dělat prakticky nic. Doklepnutí Ondřeje Zmrzlého z bezprostřední blízkosti krátce před pauzou ani rána Mojmíra Chytila z první pět minut před koncem téměř nešly zlikvidovat. Borek se naopak několikrát zaskvěl ve druhé půli. Svými zásahy držel Slovácko na dostřel, manko bylo pouze jednobrankové.
Zpacifikoval třeba ránu reprezentanta Tomáše Chorého z úrovně penaltového puntíku, akrobaticky vytáhl nad břevno bombu Christose Zafeirise z dálky. Na řeckého záložníka si počíhal i dříve, kdy senzačně vyrazil jeho zakončení z vnitřku vápna na zadní tyč.
„Tyhle zápasy jsou pro gólmana příjemné. Už jsem zažil i ligové zápasy, kde toho na mě moc nešlo a dostal jsem gól z každé druhé střely. Utkání, jako je tohle, si musíte užít,“ vyprávěl Borek.
A to i přesto, že v jeho zaváhání doufalo osmnáct tisíc domácích fandů přímo na stadionu. „V takové kulise bylo těžké komunikovat, sotva jsme se slyšeli. Jednou jsem už hrál na Letné, tam to bylo podobné. Eden má své kouzlo. Tyhle zápasy jsou za odměnu, člověk se na ně těší,“ prohlásil gólman Slovácka, který odchytal poslední tři zápasy namísto zkušeného Milana Heči. Tomu se stal osudným debakl od Hradce Králové (1:5).
Ani Borkovi se ale na jaře nevyhnuly méně povedené duely. Například v únoru při domácí prohře 0:2 se Spartou vyběhl daleko za vápno a hlavičkou nabil na gólový lob Lukáši Sadílkovi.
Proti druhému z pražských rivalů se ale vytáhl.
Zapsal celkem osm zákroků, do rukavic zalepil značné množství centrů i střílených přihrávek, které mířily do nebezpečného prostoru. Podle statistického modelu očekávaných gólů (xG) měl sice dostat dva góly, které opravdu inkasoval. Analytik, který místo fotbalu kouká do excelových tabulek, by jej nijak nevychválil.
Ale při sledování duelu očima bylo každému jasné, že čísla nejsou zcela vypovídající. A že se Borek dostává do formy.
Což je dobře pro Slovácko, které čeká v nadstavbě pět důležitých duelů o záchranu. I pro mladého gólmana. Euro mládežníků se totiž nezadržitelně blíží…
