Die Füchse Berlin haben beim 37:33 (17:15) gegen den Tabellendritten TSV Hannover-Burgdorf den nächsten Schritt in Richtung erste Meisterschaft der Klub-Historie gemacht.

Füchse Berlin ziehen Handball-Gipfel in 50 Minuten
In den Tagen vor dem Spitzenspiel probierte Hannover-Burgdorfs Trainer Christian Prokop im Training viel aus. Hauptaugenmerk: Wer deckt Berlins Welt-Handballer Mathias Gidsel? Prokops Wahl fiel auf Martin Hanne, dafür rutschte Marian Michalczik wieder neben Rücken-Rückkehrer Justus Fischer in den Abwehr-Innenblock.
Hannover-Burgdorfs Sportchef Sven-Sören Christophersen vor dem Anwurf am Dyn-Mikro: „Härte wird ein Thema sein, also an die Grenzen dessen zu gehen, was die Schiedsrichter zulassen. Berlin ist immer für über 30 Tore gut, also wird eine entsprechende Angriffs-Leistung von uns nötig sein. Alle Mannschaftsteile müssen funktionieren.“

Der erste Höhepunkt geht aber an die Niedersachsen: Renars Uscins klaut Gidsel rotzfrech den Ball und kontert das 6:7 (11.) rein. In der Folge bleiben die Füchse knapp zehn Minuten ohne Treffer – was ist nur mit DER Tor-Maschine der Liga los?
Das Hinspiel hatten die Berliner am dritten Spieltag 35:38 in Hannover verloren. Juckt die Füchse nicht, sie starten den nächsten Lauf nach ihrem Tor-Stau und gehen mit einem 17:15 in die Pause. Gäste-Kapitän Marius Steinhauser, der im ersten Durchgang zwei Siebenmeter verwirft, bei Dyn: „Wenn wir die Füchse weiter nerven, können wir dranbleiben.“
Daraus wird nichts, weil Hannover-Burgdorf in den entscheidenden Momenten die nötige Abgebrühtheit fehlt. Berlin hat nach der Pause auf fast alles die richtige Antwort parat. Wer – wie die Füchse – so ein Spitzenspiel trotz zehn Minuten am Stück ohne eigenes Tor dennoch gewinnt, ist am Ende auch ein heißer Titel-Kandidat.
