There are still three games to go in Double Gameweek 33, but it has been an underwhelming one for most Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers so far.
The two most captained players, Omar Marmoush (£7.7million) and Bukayo Saka (£10.5m) both blanked. The latter might even be a doubt for Arsenal’s second game against Crystal Palace at home on Wednesday.

Liverpool moved a step closer to winning the title in their 1-0 victory at Leicester City, but it was another blank for Mohamed Salah (£13.8m). He now only has one assist in his last four games.
Here are the main FPL talking points from the weekend’s action.
Arsenal’s defence and Saka worries
Arsenal ran out 4-0 winners over Ipswich Town, which has all but sealed the latter’s relegation to the Championship. Saka started the game and played 57 minutes, but was extremely unfortunate not to get any attacking returns. Leif Davis (£4.2m) was sent off for a dangerous tackle on the Arsenal star, which required him to have ice strapping on his Achilles once he was subbed off.
Mikel Arteta stated after the match: “Saka is in a bit of pain, but thankfully it doesn’t look anything too serious”. Saka should be fine going forward, but we will know for sure on Wednesday in the second match of their double.
Arsenal also kept their first clean sheet since Gameweek 29, and Jakub Kiwior (£4.8m) partnered William Saliba (£6.6m) again. I think Kiwior will start all of Arsenal’s remaining games, and he’s still a great buy at his price.
After their blank in Gameweek 34, they play Bournemouth (H), Liverpool (A), Newcastle United (H) and Southampton (A) in their last four games of the season.

Target Brentford assets
Bryan Mbeumo’s (£7.9m) 18-point haul was proof that you don’t have to go all in on double-gameweek players. He could well end the gameweek as the highest scoring player.
Mbeumo has had an incredible season with 18 goals and seven assists. He became only the second player to break 200 FPL points.
As we approach the final five gameweeks of the season, the Cameroon international should be at the top of our shopping list. Brentford’s last five games read: Nottingham Forest (A), Manchester United (H), Ipswich (A), Fulham (H) and Wolves (A).

Yoanne Wissa (£6.5m) also picked up a goal and an assist and is looking great value. A double up on these two looks like a great idea from Gameweek 35, despite them not having any possible double gameweeks.
Wissa has 15 goals and five assists and has played 90 minutes in every game since Gameweek 20. Both are fantastic value and there are no concerns regarding their starting berth or expected minutes.
You can probably wait until Gameweek 35, though, especially those Free Hitting in Gameweek 34.
However, for those who aren’t, then I still don’t mind investing in them this week, despite the tough game against Forest.
What to do with your Crystal Palace players
Crystal Palace have been quite underwhelming lately, having failed to score in their last two.
With back-to-back double gameweeks, many managers will have three of their players. Once they play Arsenal in the second match of their double, they have a blank in Gameweek 34, followed by games against Forest (H), Tottenham Hotspur (A), Wolves (H) and Liverpool (A).
Eberechi Eze (£6.9m) was taken off at half time but Oliver Glasner did say it was for tactical reasons. Palace went down to 10 men just before half time as Chris Richards (£4.4m) picked up two bookings. Glasner said: “It was just a tactical sub at half time. When you expect to be a little bit deep, then you are thinking which players can make these runs also to the back.”
Therefore, I don’t think there is anything to worry about in terms of starting place for Eze. However, I also don’t think the likes of Eze, Jean-Philippe Mateta (£7.8m) and Ismaila Sarr (£5.8m) are particularly good holds now.
Mateta’s minutes have taken a nosedive since he returned from his head injury in Gameweek 30. He has been taken off before the 60-minute mark on three occasions since then and managed only one goal.
I would definitely be looking to offload them as soon as possible if you are not using your Free Hit chip in 34. For Mateta, I would be looking at the likes of Wissa, Matheus Cunha (£6.8m) or Chris Wood (£6.9m).

Blank Gameweek 34 and FA Cup
Gameweek 34 is a blank gameweek. The four teams who had a double last gameweek – Arsenal, Manchester City, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace — will not have a fixture next gameweek.
If you have fewer than nine players after making your free transfers, then I would use your Free Hit if you still have it.

Crystal Palace face Aston Villa and Forest take on Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final next weekend. It’s important to note that these results are likely to have implications for Gameweek 36 and 37.
The FA Cup final takes place on the 17th of May, which is the same weekend as Gameweek 37.
Therefore, the two teams who reach the final could blank in Gameweek 37, causing a double gameweek in 36.
These should be announced sometime after Gameweek 34.
Fixture guru Ben Crellin has put together the likelihood of the different permutations. I would advise keeping an eye on proceedings as it’s the last set of possible blank/doubles for the season.
