Türkische Medien berichten übereinstimmend, dass Superstürmer und Maskenmann Victor Osimhen (26) vor einem Wechsel in die Premier League zu Manchester United steht.
Der Ex-Wolfsburger spielt seit Sommer auf Leihbasis für Galatasaray Istanbul (29 Pflichtspieltore in dieser Saison). Sein Vertrag beim SSC Neapel läuft noch bis Sommer 2026.

Zuvor stand auch ein lukrativer Wechsel nach Saudi-Arabien im Raum. Für die neue Saison stand er bei zahlreichen Vereinen aus der Premier League auf dem Zettel. Vor allem der FC Chelsea hatte sich um ihn bemüht. Auch Arsenal sowie Juventus Turin aus Italien und Frankreichs Serienmeister Paris Saint-Germain waren an einer Verpflichtung interessiert.
Nun scheint er sich aber Manchester United anschließen zu wollen. Die „Red Devils“ haben noch über die Europa League die Chance sich für die Champions League zu qualifizieren.
In Manchester soll er 15 Mio. Euro pro Jahr verdienen. Neapel will 80 Mio. Euro Ablöse, ManUnited aber nur 60 Mio. zahlen. Mit einer zeitnahen Einigung rechnet man in Italien trotzdem.
Maskenmann für ManUnited?
Seit einer schweren Gesichtsverletzung spielt Osimhen mit einer Maske, sieht damit aus, wie „das Phantom der Oper“. Nun soll er zum Tor-Phantom werden, denn daran hakt es in Manchester gewaltig.
In der Premier League gelang ManUnited in 33 Spielen lediglich 38 Tore. Ein Knipser dringend gesucht. Der soll der Nigerianer nun werden.
Zuletzt hatte sich Gala-Vizepräsident İbrahim Hatipoğlu sich noch hoffnungsvoll gegeben, der Stürmer-Star in der Türkei zu halten: „Er hat nur gesagt, dass Galatasaray im schlimmsten Fall in seinem Herzen bleiben wird, auch wenn er geht. Er hat uns nicht gesagt, dass er gehen wird und wir wollen, dass er hier bleibt.“
