Die Gerüchte um einen möglichen Abschied des Italieners haben sich nach dem Champions-League-Aus im Viertelfinale gegen Arsenal (0:3, 1:2) verdichtet. Am vergangenen Sonntag hatte „The Athletic“ sogar berichtet, dass das vorzeitige Aus beschlossen sei.
[–>Für diesen Fall plant Real für die Klub-WM in den USA (14. Juni – 13. Juli) mit einer prominenten Übergangslösung. Laut der spanischen Zeitung „AS“ wollen die Klub-Bosse einem potenziellen Nachfolger ersparen, mit nur sehr kurzer Vorbereitungszeit in das Fifa-Turnier zu gehen und dort möglicherweise schon die erste Enttäuschung zu erleben.
Ein Kandidat als Interims-Trainer ist dabei Vereins-Legende Raúl (47)! Der ehemalige Top-Stürmer der Madrilenen (741 Spiele zwischen 1994 und 2010) ist Trainer von Reals zweiter Mannschaft. Dort läuft sein Vertrag aber Ende Juni aus.

Für die Klub-WM müsste sein Vertrag kurzfristig verlängert werden. Ob der Spanier allerdings dazu bereit wäre, ist fraglich. Denn im Sommer will er sich nach einem neuen Job umsehen. Und Notnagel für die Klub-WM zu sein, würde dabei wohl eher stören.
Neben Raúl soll Santiago Solari (48) ein weiterer Kandidat für die Übergangslösung sein. Der Argentinier ist seit 2022 Direktor Profifußball beim spanischen Meister, hatte Real von Oktober 2018 bis März 2019 schon einmal kurzzeitig trainiert.
Top-Kandidat auf die langfristige Nachfolge von Ancelotti ist Leverkusen-Coach Xabi Alonso (43). Zwar hat es noch keinen Real-Anruf bei Bayer gegeben. Doch das ist wohl nur eine Frage der Zeit, damit rechnen sie in Leverkusen auch. Alonso hat Vertrag bis 2026. Er könnte vorzeitig zu einem Spitzenklub gehen. Das ist mündlich zwischen ihm und Bayer abgesprochen. Eine Ablöse würde im zweistelligen Millionen-Bereich liegen.

Und Ancelotti? Der Italiener wird immer wieder als Kandidat für das Amt des brasilianischen Nationaltrainers genannt. Ancelotti wird auch bei seinen Ex-Klubs AC Mailand und AS Rom als neuer Trainer für die kommende Saison gehandelt.
Doch davor will Ancelotti mit Real noch zwei Titel holen. Im Finale der Copa del Rey spielen die Königlichen am 26. April gegen Barcelona. Auch in der Liga hat Real den Titel noch im Blick, liegt sechs Spieltage vor Schluss aber vier Punkte hinter Barça.
