Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward are one of the biggest stories of the 2025 NFL Draft, which is two days away.
The event – which is going to be held at Green Bay, Wisconsin – will seal the fate of two of the best young quarterbacks in the nation: the Colorado Buffaloes superstar and the Miami Hurricanes superstar.
He will remember! Shedeur Sanders fires back at NFL teams favoring Cam Ward at the Draft
NFL.com analyst Bucky Brooks believes – as many other NFL Drafts analysts and experts – that the Tennessee Titans will pick Cam Ward with the No. 1 pick overall, because of the talent, toughness and tenacity the Miami has and that the franchise lacks since Steve “Air” McNair was under center in Tennessee.
Sanders blast the NFL teams that will pick Ward
With that said, Shedeur Sanders not only believe that he’s the No. 1 quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft, but also a generational talent that could lead any franchise to multiple Super Bowls, as he looks to built a legacy similar to his father, Deion “Prime Time” Sanders – who happens to be his head coach during his entire life until now -.
After reports of the Titans decision to draft Cam Ward instead of him leaked out to the media, Shedeur posted a clear message on his Instagram profile that read: “one thing you gotta understand, I’m used to the disrespect.” Sanders added a link to his 247 Sports scouting profile, which has him rated with three out of five stars.
“Highly productive and a winner with a pair of state championships to his name. Athletic frame, moves well and can extend plays. Does a nice job making that initial pass rusher miss, doesn’t panic and shows poise and calmness in the pocket,” national recruiting analyst Greg Biggins wrote about Shedeur on 247 Sports.
Tennessee’s decision causes a buzz on social media
The Tennessee Titans‘ decision to draft Ward instead of Sanders sparked a conversation on social media about the team’s choice. Former ESPN and Fox Sports commentator Skip Bayless posted on X that he’s hearing that Shedeur Sanders might fall all the way to the Pittsburgh Steelers at No. 21 overall. “All I know for sure is: if Shedeur falls out of the top 3, somebody is going to get an all-time steal of the a franchise QB. Remember I said this.”
Journalist Edward Alan Marlowe wrote that he’s fine with the Titans drafting Cam Ward. “But again, if Tennessee doesn’t do anything to truly improve its offensive line and pass pro, then what are we doing here? Will Levis had terrible pass pro his two seasons in Nashville.”
NFL.com analyst Bucky Brooks gave his insight about why the Steelers are thinking about drafting Shedeur Sanders, if the former Colorado Buffaloes standout is available with the No. 21 pick in the draft. “Mike Tomlin could view Sanders as the perfect quarterback for his squad. With his confidence, moxie and pinpoint passing skills, the Colorado star might ignite a dormant offense that has already added some star power this offseason.”
