Aber ist die englische Liga wirklich der richtige Ort für Harry Kane, wenn eine Zeit nach dem FC Bayern anbricht? Ein Fußball-Experte von der Insel hat da eine andere Meinung. Sab Stafford-Bloor glaubt, die US-Profiliga MLS könnte eine bessere Option für den NFL-Fan sein. „Das ist nur mein Gefühl, aber ich denke, die MLS ist eine interessante Option für Kane, einfach wegen seiner Vorliebe für die amerikanische Kultur, aber auch die amerikanische Sportkultur“, sagte Stafford-Bloor im „Give Me Sport“-Podcast.
[–>Verletzungen sind ein Thema. In der Vergangenheit bereiteten Kane seine Knöchel Probleme. Stafford-Bloor fragt sich, ob die körperlich anspruchsvolle Premier League der richtige Ort für Kane ist, wenn er in ein paar Jahren Mitte 30 ist. „Wenn du Harry Kane bist und über die Jahre körperlich viel mitbekommen hast, stellt sich die Frage: Ist die Premier League der richtige Ort für dich, wenn du eine sehr lange Karriere haben möchtest? Ich würde sagen nein“, so Stafford-Bloor.
Der Ex-Tottenham-Star hat noch über zwei Jahre Vertrag bei den Bayern. Mit der fast sicheren Bundesligameisterschaft in der Tasche würde Kane seinen ersten großen Titel überhaupt holen.
