O Palmeiras sustentou o 100% de aproveitamento e praticamente garantiu uma vaga, nas fases eliminatórias da Copa Libertadores. Nesta quinta-feira (dia 24 de abril de 2025), o time paulista derrotou o Bolívar por 3 a 2, no estádio Hernando Siles, em plena altitude de La Paz.
“A preparação sempre que viemos aqui foi igual. Já viemos e perdemos (na altitude). O Palmeiras sempre deu as melhores condições para estar perto da vitória. O segredo foi: sacrifício, esforço dos atletas e inteligência tática”, iniciou o treinador Abel Ferreira.
“Disse aos jogadores que iriam sofrer, assim como em Fortaleza. Aqui seria procurar o ar para respirar. Eu subi a escada e estou cansado. Imagina os jogadores”, relatou.
Abel Ferreira não só valorizou o resultado. O português também reconheceu que o Palmeiras não é um time perfeito. “Temos muito o que melhorar, muito o que trabalhar”, disse.
“No primeiro gol, tiveram erros. No segundo, também. O goleiro errou. Temos muito o que melhorar”, reforçou.
“Acredito que o espírito de grupo e a equipe será mais forte que qualquer jogador individualmente. Nossa força vem a inteligência, do esforço e sacrifício”, destacou Abel Ferreira.
O Palmeiras abriu vantagem após Flaco López e Estêvão balançarem as redes, mas cedeu o empate depois de Fábio Gomes marcar duas vezes. Contudo, o meio-campista Maurício fez a diferença. De acordo com Abel Ferreira, o resultado não foi outro por detalhes.
“Poderíamos ter saído com o empate, mas podíamos ter feito 3 a 1. tivemos calma para manter a resiliência, quando levamos o gol”, analisou.
Palmeiras, de Abel Ferreira, mantém sequência de vitórias
Esta foi a sétima vitória consecutiva do Verdão após o vice-campeonato estadual. O clube presidido por Leila Pereira derrotou Sporting Cristal, Sport, Cerro Porteño, Corinthians, Internacional, Fortaleza e Bolívar.
“Tenho que pôr gelo na imprensa porque os mesmos que vão elogiar agora são os mesmos que nos rasgaram no Paulista e ainda fomos à final. Nossa força é que sabemos o que fizemos dentro. E tudo leva tempo”, disse o técnico do Palmeiras.
“Mesmo com os lesionados, fizemos o Paulistão sem nenhum reforço e fomos muito bem. Aos jogadores, falo para não ler o que escrevem porque agora vão ser muitos elogios, e é armadilha. Quando deixam massagear nosso ego, é um perigo”, finalizou Abel Ferreira.
