J.K. Rowling continues to increase her list of enemies due to her anti-transgender views. Several actors from the Harry Potter films have already shown in the past their enmity with the writer. Now, an unexpected name has joined that list: Pedro Pascal. The actor did not hesitate to define the British woman as a “contemptible loser” for her comments.
The controversy was sparked by a social media post by activist Tariq Raouf, who called for a boycott of everything to do with Harry Potter and the young wizard’s universe, from films and series to tickets to the various museums or theme parks that have anything to do with it.

“We have to make sure that everything related to ‘Harry Potter’ fails. That means leaving comments like ‘trans rights are human rights’ and ‘trans women are women’ on every news story that comes out about the ‘Harry Potter’ series. It also means not buying tickets to go see ‘The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’ at Universal Orlando parks,” writes Raouf.
To this, Pedro Pascal has reacted with a most striking comment dedicated entirely to J.K. Rowling. “A horrible and disgusting shit, just like that. Despicable loser behavior,” said the actor, who usually maintains very open positions and in support of the trans community.
It’s not the first time, however, that someone has openly shown their criticism of the writer and asked to boycott anything related to Harry Potter. Nicola Coughlan, star of ‘Bridgerton’, has previously done so. “Stick with your new ‘Harry Potter’, guys. I wouldn’t touch it with a ten-foot pole,” the actress said of all the controversy surrounding Rowling.
