Ve spurtu uprchlíků Ťoupalík po 144 kilometrech porazil dvacetiletého Pavla Nováka, který nastoupil tři kola před cílem a dlouho mířil za vítězstvím, ale nakonec náskok neudržel. Třetí dojel s malou ztrátou Michael Kukrle. Čtvrtý Václav Ježek dorazil už s mankem téměř minuty a půl.
„Když nám odjel Novák, chvíli jsme se za ním točili, ale moc jsme ho nemohli dojet. Nakonec se to povedlo. Poslední kolo už bylo jen o nás třech a finiš byl férový. Na spurt jsem si věřil a jsem rád, že to vyšlo,“ řekl Ťoupalík na webu cyklistického svazu.
V neděli se jede třetí pohárový závod v České Kamenici.
