Erst Ende 2024 verlängerte der Norweger seinen Vertrag langfristig bis 2034.
Ein Bekenntnis? Ja – aber nicht ohne Hintertür!
Romano erklärt: „Als Haaland seinen neuen Zehnjahresvertrag unterschrieben hat, habe ich sofort gesagt: Es gibt eine Ausstiegsklausel.“ Zwar habe es danach widersprüchliche Berichte gegeben, doch sein aktueller Kenntnisstand sei eindeutig: Die Klausel existiert.
Doch City-Fans können vorerst aufatmen: „Diese Klausel greift nicht sofort. Vergesst also Gerüchte über einen Wechsel im Sommer 2025 oder 2026. Haaland bleibt vorerst!“ Die Ausstiegsklausel sei – ähnlich wie damals beim Wechsel von Dortmund nach Manchester – erst für spätere Jahre relevant.
Grund für Haalands langfristiges Commitment: Er fühlt sich bei City rundum wohl. Mit Trainer Pep Guardiola, der Klubführung, der Stadt und seinem Umfeld passt einfach alles. Romano betont: „Er hat verlängert, weil er glücklich ist und an das Projekt glaubt.“
Haaland bleibt City vorerst erhalten, ein späterer Abschied über eine vertraglich festgelegte Summe bleibt aber möglich. Der nächste große Wechsel-Krimi ist also nur eine Frage der Zeit.

Jacksonville State, where Webb played for the last three seasons, announced the news Saturday night.
