The Dallas Cowboys are buzzing after their third-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and no one seemed more thrilled than team owner Jerry Jones himself.
After selecting Shavon Revel Jr., a standout cornerback from East Carolina, with the 76th overall pick, Jones could not hide his excitement – even breaking into a quick celebratory dance that quickly went viral.

Despite concerns over Revel‘s health after he suffered a torn ACL that limited him to only three games in 2024, the Cowboys saw tremendous value.
Prior to his injury, many scouts believed Revel had the skill set of a potential first- or second-round selection, making him one of the most intriguing prospects still available on Day 2 of the draft.
Shavon Revel Jr. could be the Cowboys’ biggest draft steal
In his junior year, Revel compiled an impressive stat line: 54 combined tackles, 13 pass deflections, and an interception. He also showed his defensive versatility by recording a sack, four tackles for loss, and even scoring on a fumble recovery.
His physical play style and ball-hawking instincts made him a force in the secondary, and it’s those traits the Cowboys hope will translate to the NFL.
The timing of Revel‘s arrival is crucial for Dallas. Star cornerback Trevon Diggs is working his way back from a season-ending knee injury that left the Cowboys vulnerable in the secondary late last year.
By adding Revel, the Cowboys not only add depth but also create competition, something that could push the entire defensive back group to elevate their play.
Jerry Jones’ reaction captured the team’s excitement. The 82-year-old owner, known for his passionate involvement, shared a light-hearted moment by dancing after the pick, a move that quickly circulated on social media among delighted Cowboys fans.
