Shedeur Sanders selected by Browns in NFL Draft: ‘Thankful for the opportunity for people to actually see the real me’

Taken No. 144 overall, the pick comes following a draft slide that stunned even some of his most critical talent evaluators in the league.Sanders jumped into a pool with his socks on in celebration:"We live by our board," Browns general manager Andrew Berry told the media after the pick. "We felt like he was a good, solid prospect at the most important position. We felt it got to a point where he was probably mispriced relative to the draft. Really the acquisition cost was pretty light and it's a […]

2025 NFL Draft: Cowboys draft Texas’ Jaydon Blue in fifth round; RB compares himself to Jahmyr Gibbs

Imagn Images FRISCO, Texas -- The Dallas Cowboys addressed their running back room in free agency with a couple of vets on one-year deals in Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders. With their first pick on Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft, Dallas selected a young back who will be around for a while in Texas Longhorns rusher Jaydon Blue. He's an adept receiver out of the backfield on a variety of routes, and his six receiving touchdowns in 2024 co-led the nation among running backs. Blue is undersized as far as NFL running backs go, standing at 5-foot-9 and weighing 196 pounds at the NFL Scouting Combine. He does possess the potential to take the ball to the house on any touch thanks to his electrifying speed (4.38-second 40-yard dash, second-fastest among running backs at the combine), provided he hangs […]

Browns pick Shedeur Sanders as part of this bizarre draft strategy the NFL has never seen before

Getty Images The free fall of Shedeur Sanders finally came to an end on Saturday when the Cleveland Browns selected the Colorado quarterback during the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Although Sanders took an unexpected draft tumble, it might actually end up working out for him and that's because he could have a realistic chance to win the Browns starting quarterback job. Sanders will be joining a quarterback room that includes Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and Deshaun Watson, along with Dillon Gabriel, whom the Browns selected in the third round. Yup, that's right: The Browns have already taken two quarterbacks and they did it before the fifth round even ended. Gabriel was the fifth quarterback taken and Sanders was the sixth quarterback taken, which set up the rare situation where one team took consecutive quarterbacks in the draft. The last […]
