Kane knöpft sich den Schiri vor. Auf BILD-Nachfrage sagt er: „Ich finde, erstens ist das eine wahnsinnige Entscheidung. Es ist nie eine Gelbe Karte. Leider kommen manchmal Leute in die Allianz Arena und versuchen, sich einen Namen zu machen.“

Der Bayern-Star weiter: „Deshalb bin ich wirklich enttäuscht, dass ich die Gelbe Karte bekommen habe, denn ich wusste natürlich, dass ich schon vier hatte. Und zweitens finde ich die Regel ohnehin verrückt. Fünf Gelbe Karten in 34 Spielen bedeuten eine Sperre. Das ist verrückt.“
Daher regt er eine Regeländerung an: „Man sollte sie neu regeln wie in der Premier League. Ich verpasse ein wichtiges Spiel, weil ich im ersten Saisonspiel eine Gelbe Karte bekommen habe. Das ergibt keinen Sinn. Vielleicht sollte man sich das für die Zukunft überlegen.“
In der Premier League ist die Gelbe-Karte-Regel komplizierter: Sammelt ein Spieler zwischen dem 1. Spieltag und dem 31. Dezember fünf Gelbe Karten, wird er für ein Spiel gesperrt. Erhält der Spiele die fünfte Gelbe erst im Januar, bekommt er keine Sperre. Wenn er bis zum zweiten Sonntag im April zehn Gelbe Karten kassiert, erhält er sogar eine Sperre von zwei Spielen aufgebrummt. Bei jeder weiteren Verwarnung landet er vor dem Sportgericht, das über eine „angemessene“ Sperre entscheidet.
Abschließend sagt Kane: „Es ist das ein bisschen meine Geschichte, dass ich das Spiel in Leipzig verpasse. Aber keine Angst, ich werde mehr feiern als jeder andere.“
