A new twist in the trial of rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. Last year, a video of him beating up his ex-girlfriend, Casandra Ventura, went viral, and it has now been said that it may be shown in the sex trafficking trial he is facing.
The artist’s defense asked that this type of material could not be used, as they claimed that they were “manipulated” images, but the judge in the case, Arun Subramanian, dismissed it. Prosecutors maintain that the video “fairly and accurately depicts the assault,” moreover, two people who witnessed the scene will testify at trial.

The video in question was recorded in March 2016, where Diddy, with a towel wrapped around his waist, runs after his ex-girlfriend in the hallway of the InterContinental Hotel in the Century City area of Los Angeles. Once he manages to catch up with her, he grabs her by the neck and throws her to the ground, where he ends up kicking her.
She previously sued Combs, whom she dated between 2007 and 2018, accusing him of physical violence and sexual abuse, even alleging that she was raped. However, the two eventually reached a settlement.
Diddy’s former employees lash out at the rapper
And Combs is facing a number of accusations. Former employees, such as former music executive Daniel Evans, have spoken of how hard it was to work with him, revealing numerous threats.
“I was getting ready to go home at night and I was looking for my jacket. I opened the door and he was having sex with this girl,” he said about one of the working days. Then Diddy insulted him and yelled at him to leave: “I thought he was firing me”.
Another case was that of Felicia Newsome, director of Daddy’s House recording studio between 1994 and 2000: “It was abnormal for someone to report it, but it was not abnormal for it to happen. I told Puffy never to ask anyone to go get condoms. He said, ‘I didn’t need any of that, ma,’ and he never did it again.”
