A goleada do Flamengo por 4 a 0 sobre o Corinthians, pelo Brasileiro, mostrou mais uma vez a temporada sólida que Rossi vem fazendo no gol. Porém, o argentino receberá um descanso na próxima quinta-feira (1), quando o Flamengo visita o Botafogo-PB pelo jogo de ida da terceira fase da Copa do Brasil. O goleiro no Castelão, em São Luís, será Matheus Cunha.
O jovem de 23 anos tem apenas três partidas nesta temporada, todas pelo Campeonato Carioca. A última foi contra o Botafogo, no dia 12 de fevereiro. Mesmo assim, Filipe Luís contou sobre a mudança que fará e disse confiar no reserva.
— Matheus (Cunha) já foi titular do Flamengo. É um cara muito confiável. Confio nele, vai jogar na quinta-feira (contra o Botafogo-PB). Não tenho dúvidas que, se precisar, posso contar com ele de olhos fechados — garantiu. — Hoje, o Rossi é titular, desempenhando grande trabalho. O principal é debaixo das traves, com as mãos, e ele está fazendo bem. E, com os pés, nos dá muito. Goleiros têm essa briga saudável entre eles e hoje estou optando pelo Rossi, mas sei que posso contar com Matheus.
Porém, o treinador disse ainda não saber qual será o planejamento de utilização do time. Se mais alguém terá a chance de ser poupado, isso será definido nos próximos dias.
— Não planejei o jogo ainda porque ainda não assisti ao Botafogo-PB, não sei muito bem como eles jogam, vou analisar a partir de amanhã e decidir o que faço. O Matheus eu vou colocar para jogar. O Rossi precisa de descanso e (o Matheus) merece jogar esse jogo. Os outros , eu ainda vou ver. Há outros que merecem jogar e outros que têm que descansar, sequência muito grande de jogos. Com certeza, eu vou para esse jogo, porque é muito importante para nós — completou o técnico.
Falando sobre a goleada deste domingo, Filipe Luís exaltou Pedro, que marcou dois gols em seu primeiro jogo como titular desde que voltou de grave lesão no joelho esquerdo. Principalmente, lembrou que é um jogador de Copa do Mundo:
— Não parece que ele tenha ficado tanto tempo fora. Está incrível. A gente via isso nos treinamentos. Os próprios médicos tinham que freá-lo porque ele estava vindo muito bem na recuperação, mas existem prazos e era importante cumprir. É um jogador determinante, decisivo e que acredito que vá potencializar ainda mais o nosso ataque — elogiou.
— Há alguns movimentos que ele precisa automatizar mais, para que a equipe possa entender a forma de jogar que ele tem. Não tenho dúvida que vai elevar ainda mais o nível do nosso ataque, que já é muito forte. Ele mesmo sabe que não está 100% fisicamente, mas conseguiu ser titular e fazer um jogo muito bom. Vamos esperar que siga nessa evolução porque é um jogador de Copa do Mundo — continuou.
Filipe Luís também aproveitou para se esquivar das críticas que surgiram nos jogos que a equipe não conseguiu marcar gols.
— Se você olhar a tabela da Europa, nem o Barcelona, nem o PSG fazem gols todos os jogos. Muitas vezes, perdem gols. Daí, olhamos e fazem quatro, cinco. Conheço o Flamengo, estou aqui há seis anos. Quando não conseguimos as coisas, não fazemos gols, criamos várias chances, mas não fazemos, precisam achar um culpado. Deixa comigo, quem vai errar sou eu. Deixa que esse é o meu trabalho — frisou.
