— Ele estava louco. Não conseguia mais se controlar, e seus companheiros de equipe tiveram que acalmá-lo e segurá-lo com muita força. Eles o seguraram como um lutador para impedi-lo de correr para o campo — disse o ex-jogador.
Para Matthäus, uma punição de quatro semanas não seria suficiente.
— Acho que será algo como dois dígitos, porque o que ele fez ontem, não só contra o árbitro, mas também contra si mesmo, porque ele é um jogador da sua seleção e deveria ser um modelo a seguir, foi completamente esquecido ontem — destacou. — Ele se desculpou, é claro; ele provavelmente está arrependido, mas chegou um pouco tarde, e imagino que será uma multa enorme.
O zagueiro publicou nas redes sociais um pedido de desculpas aos torcedores e ao árbitro De Burgos Bengoechea. O atleta alemão acabou expulso de campo após o gesto, pouco antes do apito final que selou a vitória do Barcelona, por 3 a 2.
Lucas Vásquez e Jude Bellingham também foram expulsos por protestarem efusivamente contra as decisões de Bengoechea.
Um vídeo da transmissão da partida mostra que os três levantaram-se do banco e foram até a linha lateral reclamar da marcação de uma falta pró-Barcelona quando o jogo se encaminhava para o fim e o Real Madrid tentava empatá-lo. Vásquez chega a invadir o gramado, e Rudiger arremessa um objeto para o campo, na direção do árbitro.
“Não há desculpa para o meu comportamento de ontem à noite. Sinto muito por isso. Nós fizemos um bom jogo do segundo tempo para frente. Depois de 111 minutos, eu não era mais capaz de ajudar o meu time e, antes do apito final, eu cometi um erro. Desculpa novamente para o árbitro e para todos que eu desapontei esta noite”, escreveu ele, em post no Instagram.
O juiz registrou o comportamento na súmula, e Rudiger pode pegar uma punição maior, ressaltou a imprensa espanhola.
“Aos 120 minutos, o jogador (22) Rüdiger Antonio foi expulso pelo seguinte motivo: por ter atirado um objeto da área técnica sem me atingir. Após receber o cartão vermelho, ele teve que ser contido por vários membros da comissão técnica, demonstrando uma atitude agressiva”, escreveu o árbitro.
