O balanço, referente ao primeiro ano do mandato do presidente Augusto Melo, pode fazer voltar as movimentações para que o dirigente seja alvo de impeachment. De acordo com o Uol Esporte, com o veto ao balanço do último ano, já haverá de forma automática a entrada de um processo de impedimento (que, no caso de Melo, seria o terceiro) do atual mandatário corintiano. Tal pedido deverá conter assinaturas de, pelo menos, 51 conselheiros ativos do Timão e terá de ser remetido ao presidente do órgão, Romeu Tuma Júnior, que encaminhará o parecer para a Comissão de Ética e Disciplina.
