After a week of team play at the Zurich Classic the PGA Tour heads to TPC Craig Ranch just outside of Dallas, for the 2025 CJ Cup Byron Nelson beginning on Thursday. Texas natives Scottie Scheffler and Jordan Spieth are the favorites in the 2025 CJ Cup Byron Nelson odds via FanDuel Sportsbook. Scheffler is +280, with Spieth at +2000. Sungjae Im (+2200), Byeong Hun An (+2500) and defending champion Taylor Pendrith (+2500) are the only other golfers getting lower than +3000 in outright winner bets.
There are also PGA odds for top-five, top-10, head-to-head and more to consider. Before locking in your 2025 CJ Cup Byron Nelson picks, be sure to see the PGA predictions rom the proven model at SportsLine.
SportsLine’s proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, is up more than $9,000 on PGA best bets since June of 2020. This same model has also nailed a whopping 14 majors entering the weekend, including the 2025 Masters — its fourth Masters in a row — and last year’s PGA Championship and U.S. Open. It also nailed Justin Thomas (20-1) as the winner in its best bets for the RBC Heritage.
Now that the 2025 CJ Cup Byron Nelson is locked in, SportsLine simulated the tournament 10,000 times, and the results were surprising. Here are three CJ Cup Byron Nelson best bets, based on the model’s projections, to target:
Ben Griffin to win outright (35-1)
The 28-year-old enters this event with momentum after being part of the winning team at the Zurich Classic last week alongside Andrew Novak. There have been other recent signs of progress as well. He finished T18 at the Houston Open after firing a fourth-round 65 to surge late in that event. He also recorded back-to-back top-five finishes at the Mexico Open and the Cognizant Classic in March. The model has identified him as a top-three contender, bringing value at the 35-1 he’s getting at FanDuel.
Jacob Bridgeman to win Group C (+320)
This grouping on FanDuel includes Bridgeman, Will Zalatoris, Mackenzie Hughes, Rasmus Hojhaard and Tom Kim. After missing the cut in three of his four events this year, Bridgeman has made it to the weekend in all but one event since that point. He’s also recorded three top-15 performances, including a T2 at the Cognizant Classic and a third-place finish at the Valspar Championship. He’s the only golfer in this group finishing inside the top 10, according to the model, making the +320 price a strong value.
Sungjae Im to finish top-10 including ties (+220)
Im started the year hot with two top-five finishes in his first three events before cooling off in February and March. He’s trending up again, however, with a T5 at the Masters and a T11 at the RBC Heritage. If you’re not ready to back him to overcome Scheffler and others to win this event, the strong plus-money return of +220 at DraftKings Sportsbook for him to finish in the top five could be a smart play.
