When things seemed to calm down between Taylor Swift and Donald Trump, the president of the United States fanned the ashes again by mentioning again the booing the singer received at the Super Bowl.
Almost three months after the defeat of the Kansas City Chiefs by 22-40, Philadelphia Eagles visited the White House, as it is a tradition in the country that the president receives the champions of the major sports leagues.

On this occasion, Donald Trump’s words did not go unnoticed since, in the middle of his speech to the team, he again mentioned the singer and what happened in the Super Bowl:
I saw it in person. I was there with Taylor Swift. How did that thing turn out? How did that thing turn out?
While some of the players behind him laughed at the president’s comment, Taylor’s boyfriend and Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce must not have been amused.
As if that wasn’t enough, like the Philadelphia Eagles, the Chiefs are also scheduled to visit the White House since, due to COVID-19, they were unable to celebrate their Super Bowl LIV win on February 2, 2020. Because of this, the comment could not have come at a worse time and could spoil the visit.

The calm before the storm
The truth is that before the Super Bowl, Trump and Travis Kelce had sent good comments to each other.
In the run-up to the game, the president left a message on his social network, Truth Social, praising the NFL star: “An incredible running back and the best tight end in football (ever!),” Trump wrote, apparently referring to Kelce, due to the pivotal role he played for the Chiefs.
Upon learning that Trump was going to witness the final at the Superdome in New Orleans, Travis mentioned to reporters, “It’s a great honor, I think no matter who the president is. I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life and to have the president there. It’s the greatest country in the world, so it’s great.”
Trump’s history of comments to Taylor
The truth is that this rivalry dates back a long time. This isn’t the first or second time Trump has lashed out at Swift. Ever since the pop singer announced her support for Kamala Harris in the last U.S. presidential election, he said at the time, “I hate Taylor Swift.”
Then, when Taylor appeared on the Superdome screens and part of the audience booed her, Donald Trump did not miss the opportunity to leave a message to the artist on Truth Social: “The only one who had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got booed and kicked out of the stadium – MAGA is so relentless!” he wrote.
Now, this new comment, reignites the controversy and leaves open a question: Will Travis be present at the White House visit with the Chiefs?
