Im Sommer 2024 kam er ablösefrei vom damaligen Absteiger Bergischer HC. Inzwischen hat sich Lukas Stutzke (27) zu einem echten Leistungsträger für die die TSV Hannover-Burgdorf in der Daikin Handball-Bundesliga entwickelt.
Darauf hat der aktuell Tabellendritte jetzt reagiert und mit Stutzke vorzeitig verlängert. Der Nationalspieler (19 Einsätze für den DHB) hat um ein weiteres Jahr bis nun 2028 unterschrieben.

„Mit Lukas haben wir vor der Saison einen starken Abwehrspieler für uns gewinnen können, der innerhalb kürzester Zeit seine wichtige Rolle im Team gefunden hat und inzwischen auch positive Akzente im Angriff setzt“, lobt Sportchef Sven-Sören Christophersen (39) seinen Rechtshänder.
Christophersen weiter: „Die vorzeitige Verlängerung ist ein klares Bekenntnis zu unserem gemeinsamen Weg. Wir schätzen nicht nur seine konstant starken Leistungen, sondern auch seine enorme Einsatzbereitschaft, die er in jedem Training und Spiel aufs Parkett bringt.“
Der gebürtige Leverkusener absolvierte bisher 24 Bundesliga-Partien (51 Tore, 25 Assists) für Hannover-Burgdorf. Stutzke zählt zu den sogenannten „Unsung Heroes“ (deutsch: unbesungene Helden) im Handball. Damit sind Spieler gemeint, die nie groß in Schlagzeilen auftauchen, aber eine enorme Bedeutung für ihr jeweiliges Team haben.

Sein Trainer Christian Prokop (46) verdeutlicht: „Lukas hat sich in kürzester Zeit zu einem bedeutenden Spieler unseres Teams entwickelt. In der Abwehr ist er unverzichtbar, durch seine aggressive und zugleich intelligente Spielweise. Er ist total wichtig für dieses Team.“
Stutzke bleibt noch länger, Sindre Aho (27, Rückraum) steht nach Informationen von SPORT BILD kurz vor der Unterschrift. Der Norweger steht noch bis Ende Juni in Montpellier (Frankreich) unter Vertrag. In der Saison 2023/24 spielte er für die MT Melsungen.
