O Fluminense tinha nesta terça-feira uma equipe da Série D do Brasileiro pela frente, e foi com força máxima para o duelo. Mesmo assim, sofreu para conseguir uma vitória magra de 1 a 0 sobre a Aparecidense, no Maracanã, pela ida da terceira fase da Copa do Brasil. O único gol da partida demorou pra sair: Keno marcou aos 35 da etapa final e deixou o tricolor em vantagem na busca por uma vaga nas oitavas de final. Nem o alívio pela vitória arrancada no fim foi suficiente para os pouco mais de 8 mil torcedores presentes no estádio.
A equipe comandada por Renato Gaúcho saiu da campo sob vaias das arquibancadas. O treinador comentou sobre a insatisfação dos tricolor, em coletiva de imprensa realizada após o apito final. Segundo ele, o resultado é normal para a realidade do futebol brasileiro, que está “nivelado por baixo”.
— Coloquei isso muito bem para o meu grupo durante a semana e hoje na preleção. Problema do futebol brasileiro é que você vê uma equipe da Série A enfrentando uma da Série D e diz “ah, vai ter goleada hoje”. O São Paulo enfrentou uma equipe da terceira divisão (Náutico) ganhou de 2 a 1, eu não tenho nada a ver com eles… o Internacional, que todo mundo coloca como candidato ao título, só ganhou de 1 a 0 de um time da quarta divisão (Maracanã) nos acréscimos. Atlético-MG e Fortaleza empataram. Se fosse só o Fluminense e as outras equipes tivessem goleado… — avaliou Renato.
— Hoje, nós não temos mais aqueles jogadores que mudem a partida de um momento para o outro. O torcedor tem que viver a realidade do futebol brasileiro. Dois ou três clubes têm muito dinheiro e contrataram jogadores decisivos, os outros clubes não têm esse dinheiro. Vai enfrentar um clube da terceira divisão… É qualidade. O futebol brasileiro infelizmente está nivelado por baixo. Eu estaria preocupado se fosse só o Fluminense que tivesse um resultado muito apertado, mas vejo outros clubes penaram para ganhar. O torcedor brasileiro tem que se acostumar que não temos mais dois ou três craques em cada time — completou.
Apesar da atuação abaixo do esperado, uma das mudanças promovidas por Renato Gaúcho surtiu efeito na última vitória. Keno, que entrou na vaga de Canobbio, foi o responsável direto pela vantagem mínima construída no primeiro jogo do confronto. O técnico comentou sobre a escolha por iniciar com o camisa 11 entre os titulares:
— Nós temos um jogador de um para um, que abre a defesa adversária e quebra linha. É o Keno. O único. Hoje nós precisávamos do Keno e ele foi bem. Oportunidade eu tenho dado para todo mundo… Nenhum deles vai jogar todos os jogos, então eles têm que aproveitar as oportunidades. O Keno foi bem hoje, o Serna entrou e foi bem também, mas é outra característica. Que bom que eu tenho essas opções para mudar uma partida.
O jogo de volta só será disputado daqui a três semanas, no dia 21, às 19h30, no Serra Dourada. Até lá, o Fluminense terá cinco compromissos. O primeiro deles é contra o Sport, no sábado, às 18h30, no Maracanã.
