Calais Campbell, 38, returning to Cardinals for his 18th NFL season
Former All-Pro defensive lineman Calais Campbell has agreed to a one-year deal to return to the Arizona Cardinals, the team announced Tuesday.It marks the 18th NFL campaign for Campbell, who will turn 39 years old on September 1 and is currently the NFL’s oldest non-quarterback.Campbell spent his first nine seasons with Arizona, most recently in 2016. His 56 1/2 sacks with the Cardinals over that span rank fourth-most all time in the franchise’s history. Campbell was part of both the Cardinals’ NFC Champion team during his 2008 rookie season and the franchise’s last playoff victory during the 2015 campaign.
