Göttingen scheint die zusätzliche Sicherheit das zu beflügeln, führt 29:9 nach neun Minuten. Der Tabellenletzte und bereits feststehende Absteiger dominiert das Duell gegen den Vierzehnten, der um seine allerletzte Chance auf die Playins kämpft.

Schoormann: „Im ersten Viertel haben wir gar keinen Basketball gespielt“

Im zweiten Viertel ein komplett anderes Bild. Göttingen stellt den Spielbetrieb ein, innerhalb von viereinhalb Minuten egalisieren die Gäste einen 19-Punkte Rückstand. Und so geht es mit 46:46 in die Halbzeit. „In ersten Viertel haben wir gar keinen Basketball gespielt“, gibt Len Schoormann in der Halbzeit am Dyn-Mikro ehrlich zu.

In der zweiten Hälfte ist es eine ganz enge Kiste, bleibt bis zur Crunchtime ein absoluter Nailbiter. 87 Sekunden vor Schluss liegt Oldenburg zwei Zähler (90:88) vorn. Und siegt am Ende etwas glücklich, weil Mathis Mönninghoff sechs Sekunden vor Schluss einen ungenauen Pass auf Tra Holder spielt und der den Ball verliert. Holder: „Ich hab den Pass falsch eingeschätzt, konnte den Ball leider nicht festhalten.“

Oldenburg wahrt mit dem Sieg die kleine Playin-Chance. Zumal die letzten zwei Spiele gegen die direkte Konkurrenz (Vechta und Chemnitz) zu Hause sind.
