Hoje, é o titular do setor.

2025 NFL Draft: Shedeur Sanders, Quinn Ewers and Jalen Milroe among biggest value picks for all 32 teams

Getty Images Value is a tricky concept on a football field. No one denies that certain positions and certain players make more of an impact for a team's win-loss record than others. It's the attempts to quantify said impact that can be wonky. My favorite barometer is simply the NFL's own attempts to do so: contracts. Quarterbacks are top dogs, followed by edge rushers and receivers. Defensive tackles, cornerbacks and offensive tackles represent the next tier. The bottom rung is occupied by interior offensive linemen, safeties, linebackers, tight ends and running backs, although guards have been ascending rapidly. Since draft slot and not position played determines how much a player is paid their first four seasons in the NFL, certain positions represent more of a cap savings if a quality player is selected there. Here are the players whose talent […]

Fantasy baseball bullpen report featuring rising relievers Ryan Zeferjahn and Kyle Leahy

It’s May now, and situations have become unsettled in multiple leverage ladders, whether due to injury, performance, or, in one case (Arizona), a combination of these two factors. Since my last post, here are the notable changes: Arizona DiamondbacksDuring spring training, manager Torey Lovullo intimated three relievers were vying for the closer role: A.J. Puk, Justin Martinez and Kevin Ginkel. Puk currently resides on the injured list with a left elbow flexor strain and has no firm timeline for a return. Martinez has allowed at least a run in three consecutive appearances, and the last two displayed a precipitous drop in his velocity (image below courtesy of Statcast): Torey Lovullo said that both an MRI and an injured list stint are possibilities for Justin Martinez, whose velocity was down about 5 mph tonight compared to its usual levels, the third […]

Buccaneers GM Licht: We had WR Emeka Egbuka ‘top 10’ on 2025 NFL Draft board

<!--> The Tampa Bay Buccaneers used their first-round pick (No. 19) in the 2025 NFL Draft on Ohio State wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, and their general manager was ecstatic to land the former five-star recruit."He was super high on our board, top 10 on our board," Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht said about Egbuka on Wednesday's edition of "The Rich Eisen Show." "[He] kind of stood out like a sore thumb. Unbelievable character, football character … it was just clear he was a cut ahead of the players at that point in the draft."Last season, Egbuka logged a team-high 81 receptions for 1,011 yards (12.5 yards per reception) and 10 touchdowns for the national champion Buckeyes. Kings hire head coach Doug Christie on permanent basis with reported multi-year contract

Getty Images The Sacramento Kings are moving forward with Doug Christie as their head coach, the team announced Thursday. It removes the interim tag he carried this past season after taking over for Mike Brown, who was fired in December. Financial figures were not released, but Christie and the team were reportedly working on a multi-year deal, according to ESPN. Kings general manager Scott Perry, who the team recently hired after parting ways with Monte McNair, met with Christie last week, but also planned to talk with other candidates for the job as well. Kings issue stark reminder of their dysfunction by firing Monte McNair right after play-in loss to Mavericks It appears as though Perry decided Christie was the best person for the job, likely due to the fact that the Kings finished 27-24 with him at the helm.
