O Flamengo terá mudanças no time titular para o jogo contra o Botafogo-PB, válido pela terceira fase da Copa do Brasil 2025. O goleiro Matheus Cunha será escalado no lugar de Rossi.
“Eu vou colocar para jogar. O Rossi precisa de descanso e o Matheus Cunha merece jogar esse jogo”, declarou o técnico Filipe Luís.
De acordo com o treinador, outras mudanças são possíveis. Arrascaeta, Pedro e De La Cruz não foram relacionados.
“Eu ainda vou ver. Há outros (jogadores) que merecem jogar e outros que têm que descansar. A sequência de jogos é muito grande”, explicou Filipe Luís.
Nesse sentido, a provável escalação do Flamengo tem os seguintes atletas: Matheus Cunha; Varela, Danilo, Léo Pereira (Léo Ortiz) e Ayrton Lucas; Evertton Araújo, Allan, Michael e Luiz Araújo; Plata e Bruno Henrique (Juninho).
“Temos que entrar em tudo para ganhar, arranjar uma forma de ter elenco e mentalidade para ganhar tudo. Se por algum motivo tivermos que priorizar, será o Brasileirão”, disse o diretor de futebol do clube, José Boto, quando foi oficialmente apresentado.
Botafogo-PB e Flamengo duelam nesta quinta-feira (dia 1 de maio), a partir das 20h, no estádio Castelão, em São Luís (Maranhão).
Flamengo será vítima da Lei do Ex?
O Botafogo-PB tem jogadores experientes no plantel, sendo Henrique Dourado o mais conhecido nacionalmente.
O profissional de 35 anos representou o Flamengo de 2018 até 2019. Segundo dados do site Ogol, ele marcou 14 gols em 43 partidas.
“Eu costumo dizer que os gols que eu fiz no Flamengo me proporcionaram uma mudança de patamar. Uma mudança de vida, tranquilidade também para mim e minha família. Sou grato a isso”, declarou em entrevista ao site Globo Esporte (GE).
“Quando estava no Fluminense e enfrentei o Palmeiras, não comemorei fazendo a ceifada por completo em respeito. Creio que contra o Flamengo também se acontecer de marcar um gol”, finalizou Henrique Dourado.
