The incident occurred Saturday night at a private golf community in La Quinta, Calif., according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office in California.

“After an initial investigation, it was determined that medical personnel responded and transported Sperbeck to a local hospital in critical condition. On April 30, Sperbeck was pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries,” the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. “The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office is committed to conducting a thorough investigation into the death of Sperbeck and will take appropriate action based on the outcome.”

Paramedics took Sperbeck to the Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, which is where he was pronounced dead early Wednesday morning.

Sperbeck began managing Elway’s business interests during Elway’s playing career with the Denver Broncos in the 1990s. The two opened 7Cellars Winery together in 2013.

“I am absolutely devastated and heartbroken by the passing of my close friend, business partner and agent Jeff Sperbeck,” Elway said in a statement Wednesday. “There are no words to truly express the profound sadness I feel with the sudden loss of someone who has meant so much to me. My heart and deepest sympathies go out to Jeff’s wife, Cori; his children Carly, Sam and Jackson; and everyone who knew and loved him. Jeff will be deeply missed for the loyalty, wisdom, friendship and love he brought into my life and the lives of so many others.”

Messi si finále CONCACAF Cupu nezahraje, Miami vystavil stopku Vancouver

„Soupeř byl mnohem lepší než my.

Mainoo: EL triumph won’t make Man Utd’s season a success but would give hope

Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has admitted winning the Europa League will not make the season a success but could provide a platform for the future. United travel to Bilbao on Thursday for the first leg of their Europa League semi-final against Athletic Club. The competition remains the club's only chance of winning silverware after a dismal competitive campaign. United will record their worst-ever Premier League points return come the end of the season and sit 14th in the top flight.Should United stay in 14th, it will be their worst top-flight finishing position since the club were relegated in 1974. However, despite the club's second-ever Europa League trophy being up for grabs, for Mainoo, the disappointment of their league displays will linger. Warriors suffer blowout loss to Houston in Game 5 no-show

HOUSTON — At some point during the 15-minute halftime break on Wednesday night, Warriors coach Steve Kerr approached Draymond Green with a question: How long should they try to hunt down a comeback win in the second half?“Five minutes,” both Green and Kerr settled. So Kerr sent his starters back out there to open the third quarter, down by 27. Dillon Brooks hit a fadeaway to bump it to 29.
