Všechny branky padly v přesilových hrách. Gól a nahrávku zaznamenal v dresu vítězů Mika Zibanejad, u obou tref si připsal asistenci další útočník Leo Carlsson. Oba celky se pro zbytek turnaje přesunou do Brna, kde budou Švédové v sobotu dalším soupeřem českého týmu.
V polovině sedmé minuty se proti pravidlům provinil Steen a Švýcaři trestali. Loeffel dostal kotouč od Moye, místo avizované střely mu ho vrátil a na Moyovo zakončení gólman Ersson nedosáhl. Jeho protějšek Genoni pak vychytal Nilssona, Lundeström trefil v početní výhodě tyčku, ale do přestávky se skóre nezměnilo.
Švédům stačilo na obrat dvě a čtvrt minuty. Nejprve byl na konci pěkné přesilovkové souhry ve 35. minutě Zibanejad, jenž prostřelil Genoniho z kruhu a ukončil trest Moye už po 15 sekundách. Vzápětí pykal Riat a početní výhodu využil k vítěznému zásahu Eklund, jenž se trefil z prostoru mezi kruhy.
Ve třetí části už gól nepadl. Snahu domácích o vyrovnání narušil v 58. minutě trest Egliho. Švýcaři pak neuspěli ani v krátké power play.
